This should not happen.
Sometimes it takes 1-2 seconds until the buttons are clickable, this is the time until the server was reached.
At this time everything was online. Maybe it was a local problem?
Multiplayer seems to be down currently as of the morning of 10/11 since both the ranked random game and play with friends buttons are greyed out. Not white and selectable like normal. Also how does one add a friend to play against?
