That is a bad story, and as you write, really frustrating.I just had a game where I had 1234Ph6788JJAA. I selected 1234Ph678 and as I was pressing Tichu the player to my right disappeared. This caused my cards to be deselected. I selected them again and the person returned, deselecting my cards. I selected them again but I could not call tell if my Tichu had registered, so I had to wait until they returned. When they returned I only had about one second left, not leaving me with enough time to select my cards again. So the AI took over and destroyed my Tichu by just playing the 1. This is incredibly frustrating. I have had this happen before where as I am selecting my cards they are randomly deselected, causing me to run out of time. The game should never automatically deselect my cards!
I don't know which event is responsible for the deselection of cards. It makes no sense. I have to investigate in this matter.
The intended behaviour for temporarly absent players is as follows: communication is stopped beside of messages to find out who is available. The current player can use his buttons. I realize this moment, that this is not the case, when the leave event falls in the 1.5sec gap reserved for bombing. The state of your buttons changes when your left opponent has played and the delay for bombs is over. Were all settings disabled? Pressing the play button should move the selected cards to the table. But the message "I play black 8" is retained until the missing player comes back or is replaced by an AI. Pressing the (enabled) Tichu works also. Eventually the "Tichu" text should be written at this moment and not be retained until all players know about it.
Thank you for your feedback. I have to review the time management.
